View the latest post Panic!

I procrastinated, I admit it. I've known for more than a month that it was coming and yet. Nada. I'd like to blame Blizzcon or Hubris does Vegas, but I couldn't go to either. Maybe I’ll run down to Target and pick up a pocket watch, that would work right?

Image

Wouldn’t get there in time.

And a pocket watch? I really am getting old and traditional :/

Perhaps I am over thinking all of this. What do you get a man who has not once, but twice in the last year, marshaled the troops and soldiered through a maelstrom of attrition, leadership and guild implosion on his retirement day?

The U.S. Postal Service frowns on sending prostitutes through the mail >(

Zak, as the solo surviving officer of Avarice, member of the founding five officers of Hubris, main tank, raid leader and guild grammar gendarme, it’s a testament to your tenacity and fortitude* to have played and led at such a high level for so very long. Your presence will be missed.

Perhaps the most fitting going away gift is One Light in the Darkness. Yogg’s many (many) tendrils have been all over our history and its fitting to put them to bed on the same night.

Speaking of Zakaz and bed time …

Retiring for school and work … right … we … totally, no TOTALLY buy that.

View the latest post Oh It's Already Been Broughten

So the new patch dropped and I'm already tired of jewelcrafting dailies. And while not 1 but 2 Jormungar's are awesome? AWESOME? I can't help but think Tirion is a giant wind bag and Arthas needs to be busier. FFS, I realize he has cameos all over Northrend, but seriously is evil so mismanaged that he can't kick some ass like 2 flight paths away?

I digress.

I was at the Filthy Animal sipping on a cold glass of milk with my home girl Nox and I start hearing voices. This is problematic as I have already vendored my Dual-plagued Brain. Oddly enough it said check the mail and I received the following postcard.

Image

Apparently, Old Gods get lonely. With fewer brave adventurer's rolling deep into Ulduar, Yogg has been sending out his minions to solicit some action.

Seeing as how Vezax and his silly animus had bested us in the past, we broke out the jazz hands and sparkly fingers to rein down some righteously coordinated ass kicking.

And we 2 shotted him after someone thought it would work better if Feurune got healed. Funny thing about healing the tanks, we sometimes forget. Oops.

I'd love to say I smelt the Saronite, but alas it was more a charred demon-esque, but not a demon, who needs a bath style roast. Reminded me of YM.

So Yoggy-poo, alls I got to say is:

BRING IT ON.

p.s. - While rolling through Ulduar a few brave souls glimpsed evolution incarnate, most died to bring you this:

Behold Arachodendropod!!!!!!

Image

It part tree and metal and spits fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was nothing.

Image

No that is a lie, the building blocks were there.

Image

A few molecules felt? (knew?, needed?) more. An urge developed. They pooled together sharing resources to make them stronger. Communities developed. These communities coalesced into organisms. The first gods of the primordial soup.

Image

But the urge didn't dissipate, no it grew ... into a hunger. Soon a few tired of wearing a full set "Of the Goo" greens

Image

And they devoured all within the proboscis'.

Image

And they kept eating

Image

And building

Image

Nothing was beneath their maw

Image

When readily available food became scarce they turned on each other, some ran

Image

Some didn't

Image

A few transcended their voracious appetite to recognized they rocked harder then the rest.

Image

They had swagger and Hummers and 64oz Big Gulps. They had

hu⋅bris  [hyoo-bris, hoo-]
- excessive pride or self-confidence; arrogance.

Did I mention we just rocked a god?

Image

I think our Mitochondrial forefathers would be proud. Go us.
